“Just another night in NYC” doesn’t quite cut it for the surreal happenings of Friday, September 4th, 2009 during Emanuel and the Fear’s performance at Joe’s Pub. What was expected to be a fairly quiet night for Emanuel and the Fear with so many people leaving the city for the weekend quickly turned into a sold-out room with everyone from David Byrne to TV On The Radio and Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson in attendance. And now we can all collectively celebrate the grandeur memory of this thanks to our new friends at NYC Taper. While recording 11 people on stage definitely has its challenges, NYC Taper recorded the whole set from the upstairs soundboard area.
